When you open
the box, you
will find
all the CopterX
CX 500SE V2
parts neatly
packed inside
plastic bags and
ready to be
assembled.
Although the
CopterX CX 500SE
V2 Kit is a
clone version of
the genuine
Align T-Rex 500,
all parts are
from the highest
quality and I
can't find any
fault with this
kit. Great
product for the
low price...
The CopterX CX 500SE
V2 Kit comes standard
with high quality carbon fiber main
rotor blades, carbon
fiber main frame, carbon
fiber tail boom brace, metal rotor
head, metal main shaft
bearing blocks, metal
tail rotor assembly,
carbon fiber horizontal
and vertical tail fins
and all the other parts
to complete the kit.
The tail rotor is belt
driven with metal belt
pulleys. I personally prefer
a belt driven tail rotor
system over a torque tube
system. The canopy is molded out of
plastic and pre painted
at the factory.
Glass
fiber canopies
are available if needed.
Take note that there are no stickers
for the canopy include with the CopterX
CX 500SE V2 Kit.

Assembling
CopterX CX
500SE V2 Kit |
Assembling the CopterX
CX 500SE V2 Kit is
fairly easy if you have
previous building
experience. To assemble
the helicopter, you need
to insert the supplied
CD into your PC to download the CopterX CX
500SE V2 Kit
manual that is presented in PDF
format. It took me about
one hour to fully
assemble the helicopter.
Although most
parts are pre assembled
at the factory, make
sure that all screws are
tight, especially the
screws that need some
Thread Lock.
I found
the canopy nuts to be
too small for the canopy
mounting bolts. The
first time I installed
the canopy, the inner
parts of the canopy nuts
sheared off completely.
To overcome this
problem, I enlarge the
holes on the canopy to a
6mm diameter,
and replaced the CopterX
500 canopy nuts with
Align T-Rex 600 canopy
nuts. Now the canopy
fits perfectly without
any effort.
For
electronics installation
and setup, I recommend
that you down load the
Align T-Rex 500 manual,
as the
CopterX CX 500SE V2 Kit
manual does not include
pitch and throttle curve
setup instructions.

really enjoyed building
this helicopter.
